When something is happening in real time, you can usually find out about it more on Twitter than than anywhere else. The breaking news function of Twitter itself is becoming corrupted because more and more of Twitter is being subsumed by this William Golding Lord of the flies type dynamic where it's teams angling for ground against other teams. I bet you if you also mapped accuracy and speed that there is an inverse correlation to whatever you hear earliest is probably not vetted or thought out or accurate. You're better off reading the article the next day in the newspaper.
