The History of Maintenance

When we look back historically, at what point did maintenance become a social concern or has it been from the get-go? I mean, the kind of work that people do looking after each other and looking after their immediate surrounding obviously is a form of maintenance. And so you can see that as we introduce new technologies, almost immediately we have to start thinking about the maintenance of them. That comes right up to like, you know, iPhone repair shops in your local town.
