Are We Going to Get More Bananas?
"We might imagine some ancient chimps, at least in a fable, thinking about becoming post-chimpsies," he says. "And what is the good that we would get out of that? Well, this is another one. I know that if I'm smart, I can get more bananas." If we were to go and settle the Milky Way, there are interesting issues on whether biological humans can ever move between the stars,. But it looks like the total population at that point would be something like 10 to 29 people - still assuming habitats in solar systems.
