Theology and Theology in the Book of Revelation

Theologians should pay attention to the whole text, not only focusing on a few small passages here and there. I hope that modeling such a reading is itself convincing to some who might be concerned that Scripture is harmful or obsolete. There are really bad readings of Scripture out there and I think the counter to that is good readings of Scripture. We never get those perfect as limited human beings, as sinners. But in the conversation of the whole church, we have a really beautiful tradition of how to do that.
