In 19 92 in new york city, there were two thousand, 100 murders and six hun 26 thousand serious crimes. Within five years, murders had dropped by 65%. So they were down to 770, and total crimes had been cut in half. That's not like a gradual decrease, that's a tip. It just went smash. And so the crime was disappearing at a wilder rate. All f a sudden, again, you had your streets fill up with pedestrians and bicycles - old folk not too afraid of getting a bullet in the lefe.
