Christian Politics

I think a Christian's politics begins in the true polis, the true kingdom, which is manifested here on the earth and the church. If Jesus declared himself to be not just our king, but the king of kings, then our first order of business is to spread what he's doing. But at the same time, I think living in a democratic, republic society, Christians are called to love and care for their neighbor. Sometimes that means going with the culture and where they're saying we need to go, and sometimes that means going against them. You probably shouldn't think you're going to transform culture because ultimately Christ needs to do that.
