Quantum Error Correction: 100,000 Qubits?

The difference between classical gates and quantum mechanical gates is pretty clear to state. In quantum mechanics, you have these things called unitary transformations. But basically, you have a continuum, which is part of the reason that the quantum mechanical system is so much richer. If you had 100 gates, you'd have to have something like 100,000 qubits if you had a 0.1% error.
