The Book of Samuel and Its Textual Problems

There are substantial portions of Samuel preserved in the Dead Sea Scrolls. By and large, but not always, they do not agree with the Masoretic text. They agree with the Septuagint. So there's a close agreement between theSeptuagint and the Dead Sea scrolls,. But sometimes this is going to help us resolve a problem in what we're going to read in first Samuel by appeal to the SeptUagint or the Dead Sea Scroll. The books of Samuel have been well served by finds in cave for it, Kumran.
