Interconnecting Higher Levels of Buildings

In 20 15, a 54 % of the world's population lived in cities. By 20 50, that number will probably climb to about 66%. So people are continually crowding more and more into cities. And where are we going to fit all those people? There is no way to generate additional surface area.
