A lot of servant leadership stuff has come out of like religious contexts. Jesus was the ultimate servant leader, but he actually went off by himself quite frequently. If you want to be able to serve others, let's get back to this leading ourselves thing. I can't earn the right to lead you unless I lead myself first. So if you can kind of map those processes onto leadership, that's what leading yourself first is to me.
