Shaking Hands With Danger

Mark King was tasked with converting a warehouse built in 1914 into a warehouse district style mixed use building. The only access to the roof was via a ladder that was located inside the giant elevator shaft that formed the center of the building. As soon as one person has started up the ladder, the next started right behind with just a rung or two between them. Note that no embarrassing safety harnesses or other such items were in use.
