Hita Tada's Assassination of Tokugawa Masako

Hita Tada's edict was invalidating a decision made by the sitting emperor, Golmizanul. The three abbets were confined to a Rinzai sect temple in Koltokaji while senior Tokugawa counselors decided what to do with them. Hidatata eventually cracked and apologized for signing the critique; he was spared exile. As result of this heavy-handed approach, the original monks whose elevation to purple robe status had been stripped away turned on each other.
