The opposite of jealously hoarding this title of expert, by pretending that you're always right, i think that's actually a sign of insecurity. As early as you an getting feedback, exposing yourself to feedback in ways that are low stakes, so that your ego doesn't get involved is really, really helpful. The best thing that an editor can do on the first pass of, you know, something that i'm writing is tell me what where the problems are. Tell me where it's confusing. Tellme where it's boring.
