The Disappointment of Not Teaching Germans
It depended on the area. We mostly were teaching immigrants specifically from West Africa. In certain areas there were not a lot of native Germans. I actually loved that aspect of my mission because I feel like I was exposed to more cultures than just Germany. But I have really, really beautiful, immensely valuable experiences with some of the most wonderful people I've ever met where I was participating in their culture either through their food or other kinds of things and it was not German culture.
