Are Cryptocurrencies a Scam?

Being an evangelist isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be used to attract people to supporting something less altruistic or predatory scam artists depend upon this. Even folks who are not scam artists may use these tools to get other people on board, probably because they've already invested so much into this particular technology. So crypto is a good example of this.
