A Lame Kingship Oracle?
With king agus dead, there's a dispute about who the throne should go to. A spartan seer produces an allegedly ancient prophecy in the typical hexameter verse that said something like, beware, o sparta, of a lame kingship. The thing that would make sparta's kingship truly hobble would be a bastard son of alcibiades on the throne. But lysander was wise on this point, because indeed, few spartans really wanted that.
