The Palace of Nossos

The palace at the heart of nosos was a truly magnificent place, over a hectar ten thousand square meters in size. Visitors were kept in motion because of its intentional asymmetry and the way that people flowed through it. It's easy to focus on these palaces and look outward from them on to the rest of manoan society. But there was far more to life in minoan crete than what was happening in the palaces. The humble farm compounds were no less important than the palaces for feeding the food that fed the kings and nobles who lived amid the monumental frescoes. And what about the homes of sailors who crewed ships? Shouldn't we care about them
