Matt: My mom did not realize that what she was saying was embarrassing. She thought her job in that moment is to hold that stuff in because I'm not gonna embarrass Matthew. Right? And so here's a list of things, all the things he should be proud of. Matt: The idea of prevention got associated with the emotional experience of being embarrassed where you couldn't do anything. So that feeling became a block. This is one of the richest and most interesting etymologies that I've discovered in the course of the podcast.
