The Origins of the Secret Society
Each of the 12 signs is divided into three 10 degree segments called deckons. Each pip card can be assigned to a deckon and it describes some of the themes of that deckon. So trying to find the origin of who decided to link these two together and why so far, the only information I could find is this the golden dawn that did it first. But we might not never know. That's the nature of secret society.
