Miliband uses the word 'class ceiling' to talk about improving social mobility. He says it is a simple idea but I can see why it would be effective. It taps into a fear that a lot of people across the country will have. People who are in jobs, who are quite successful, will always feel like there's something slightly holding them back. If you can present yourself confidently at work, your chances are just so much more different. This speech should demonstrate two things: One, that labor has a plan to tear down the barriers to opportunity that hold this country and its people back.
