Introduction
The Doctrine of the Trinity is a systematic summary of the Biblical data that indicate two things. That there is one God and that there are three distinct persons in the Godhead. Both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament, we find that this doctrine is taught. In Deuteronomy, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord. First Kings, chapter 8 and verse 60. This is Solomon's benediction on the occasion of the dedication of the temple.
