Introduction
Arnold Rothstein was one of the most famous bootleggers of the 1920s. He had a reputation for fixing sports events and making a lot of money on the outcome. The Black Sox scandal in 1919 raised suspicions that he bribed players to throw games. But it could never be proven that Rothstein was involved.
