The Minerva detector did this experiment a few years ago and they sent the word neutrino in ASCII code. It took them six minutes to send these 92 bits through 250 meters of earth over a one kilometer distance. They were able to do it successfully you know the rate is like 0.1 bits per second which is not good enough to stream the office on your mobile platform. The fundamental basics is can you flip a switch when you're creating the beam and detect that switch being flipped when you're looking at the beam downstream.
