What Form Did the Resistance Take?
In germany, philosophy has very strongly meant history of philosophy. And secondly, something like naturalism has always had a bad press. A people who thought empirical sciences could contribute anything like bottom up constraints for conceptial work just hadn't understood what philosophy was in the first place. But then there's also this territorial thing. I think you have recently had, for instance, to take this example of the freedom of the willde ba, too.
