The Progress of Dualism in Philosophy

I think one thing that's really striking about a lot of these philosophical questions about AI and GPT is that as much as this is a great arena for generating excitement, it's kind of new instances of familiar problems. We're not done with questions. We've got more questions, but it does seem like at least a bit of progress to say you need to manipulate symbols in light of the meetings of those symbols. So now we've entered with dualism. That kind of looks like the mind body problem is back. I don't have an answer to that, but at least philosophers have been asking a question for a long time.
