The Early Christian Meals Are Forms of Exclusion

Early christian meals were like any other hellenistic greek or roman meal. Meals are also there to mark one group off from another group, and we do that by excluding others. And i show how early christians use meals precisely as that, not to welcome people, but to put them outside. Ah, our religion compels us to distinguish ourselves from others, andwe do that by excluded others. So meals are also forms of exclusion, rather than just inclusion.Meals are forms of estrangement rather than affiliation.
