It can be devastating when our partner expresses disapproval or disagrees with our thoughts and ideas.

Many of us buy into the idea that when we enter into marriage we have locked down a partner that will love us no matter how immature we are. When we don’t like the messages we get from our partner, it can feel easy to go look for “cheap” validation outside of our marriage, rather than use what our spouse is telling us to improve ourselves.
