The Marine Corps' Mission Tasking in the Invasion of Iraq

The Marine Corps Force Recon basically had, you know, kind of dual mission set. They did the green side, deeper connoisseurs mission and then there was the direct action piece. So early on, it was looking at major highways, keeping an eye on major Iraqi units to get advanced intelligence on things. And then we ended up in Al-Hula for a while. We spent a little bit of time in the Iranian border, basically staring at sand doing nothing.
