I am proud of any extent to which they prompted follow on activism that has shaped the culture in some positive way. I have come to understand that it is an occupational hazard of this job that you kiss off a lot of people when you do confronting investigative reporting. And i see that in the works and careers of every investigative reporter that i admire. There's such a strong structure of rigorous editing, fact checking for journalists who are doing their jobs well. It does happen all the time; we just don't know how many or what kind of stories will be published next.
