The After Times

What happens after the initial joy of conversion fades? We're left with a complicated reality of the after times. Despite whatever images you might have of early Christianity, there was at this point actually no organized persecution of believers. The Romans weren't yet hunting down Christians. In a thousand ways, Christianity bumped up against the empire, becoming an annoyance to the people who were in charge.
