M was doing his degree at lecster politechnic a back in the mid 19 eighties. His supervisor suggested he look at impact of hedgehogs that had been introduced to north ronelsy, the most northerly of the orkney a back in 19 74. He went up there and spent his summer holidays counting hedgehogs on Northrotlesy. And come back and be confronted by my contemporaries,. Why to find out how many there were? So literally trying to find out if there were the sorts of numbers that had been the daily express suggested there were ten thousand hedgehogs - which is incredible.
