The Case of Michael King
Michael King was found guilty of first degree murder, sexual battery and kidnapping. The jury recommended a sentence of death by lethal injection in December 2009. Denise's widower sued the Charlotte County 911 for their mishandling which honestly probably cost Denise her life. In 2012, he was awarded a $1.25 million settlement.
