The first year of amins government in longo was a very tense time. While weare celebrating, they were being murdered. By early 19 72, it's estimated that up to five thousand langy and the choli soldiers had been killed. Stories do the rounds that he ordered 36 leading officers to report for special training and had them bayoneted to death. There are other rumours that brigadier suleiman hussein has not only been arrested and beaten to death in lusira prison, but that amin keeps his severed head in his kitchen freezer. But we will revisit this later.
