Cop 26 - A Failure or a Success?
The weakened language ther was approved because no one wanted to put the whole agreement in jeopardy. There are other provisions in there that are just so ta ar. And they could they caldn risk being lost. But cop 26 couldn't have made that happen. It's built to form consensus among nearly 200 nations. A really significant part though, of the glasgow agreement is that nations need to submit more ambitious plans next year. So hopefully see another crank of that ratchet.
