I do think that students need to be aware of the power they have as well though on an individual level so I was and as a patient I've been in situations where the doctor has you know been misgendering me or using an appropriate language towards me. A nursing student sat in the back of the room said hang on a second here this person doesn't want to be spoken to in this way. Very rarely are you completely powerless in any given situation because very rarely are you like ship when it comes to that scenario.
