The Progression of Isaac Bacchus From Established Congregational to Separatist Congregational
Isaac Bacchus became the most important Baptist in southern New England. He was a powerful advocate for relief from some of the oppressive practices that were present in Massachusetts. The congregational churches in Massachusetts were established that is taxes were charged to support the ministers well into the 1830s.
