The Real and the Nonverbal
When my kid cried for the first time, it was as real as it gets. For her, that ain't the real. If you find yourself immersed in the symbolic, castrated, neurotic or otherwise, then the cry could certainly be the real. This is tough because right if there, if there's a day in on the call, they're going to be like, what are you talking about? We breathe like normal people. There's a strange gaspiness that Scandinavian languages afford. The breath, the cry, these moments that are like really nonverbal could absolutely be functioning as expressions of the real moment encounters with the real.
