The Story of Daniel Benton
Daniel benton built his small red cape style home in 17 20. He had three grown grandsons who lived in the house with him. One of them, elisha, took an interest in a young woman named jemima barrows. They were captured by british forces and taken to long island where they were imprisoned on ships in the sound. Elisha was free but sick with smallpox when he came home. Nearly half of everyone who contracted the disease eventually died.
