The Pied Piper, a Stranger
i want to say that the pied piper, for me, fits that strange intruder category. It's a strange and unusual person who shows up and has kind of odd effect on a group or individual - he just looks different. When you upset him, when you cheat him, he comes back dressed differently as a hunter. So it was mostly his clothing, at least in this early description here, that seems to be different from the regular townsfolk. But he is a mysterious intruder that shows up in a place and vanishes. There is also, i think, probably a lack of vocabulary to describe unusual people, or people that might seem somewhat alien back then.
