The Battle of Shiloh
Ulysses calls this hard-fought battle of Shiloh will win. Nathan grabs a nearby Union soldier by the scruff of his neck, grabs the fighting boy in blue onto his horse and uses the soldier as a body shield while he rides away. In the first half of 1862, the Union is definitely coming out on top in the Western theater of the war. But we can't follow them just yet. We need to head back to the East Coast and hear what the Army of the Potomac under General George McClellan is doing or not doing in Virginia.
