The Shocking Story of Jim Jones - A Story of Disobedience
Once jim took a shine to a young black girl, 19 year old girl named shanda james. She told him that she was flattered, very honored by his attention but she was already involved with somebody else her own age. And so jim told his security staff that she was a security risk and had her seized and drugged and confined to the extended care unit. Physical beatings became general in the camp, and jim jones didn't need to order them or even be present. If someone broke a rule, other people would just rush them and start beating them. People were punished for small infractions, for failing to memorize newspaper stories he had read to them
