One of the weirdest and coolest Oscar wins ever happens this year. The Red Balloon winning best screenplay. A short non dialogue film a 35 minute short that's mostly just a boy chasing a balloon one best original screenplay. That's the value to me of the Oscars it's not what they get right it's the weird moments where they award something that you do not expect them to award. And also the huge misses they have are often so much more valuable to movies becomes that becomes part of the movies lore.
