The Origins of Mauis Coins

Mauis appears to have integrated himself neatly into the pre-existing Greek framework. A unique coin minted by the Indo-Greek king Artemidoros, who ruled within the lifetime of Mauis, hints at a connection with the Saka king. But while the Saka may have enjoyed their dominion over Takshila, the other Indo-Greeks do not seem to have taken their presence too kindly.
