The Importance of Having a Wife
Giorgio Hayes was born in 1876. His mother died in 1975, 99 years old. He met Maria Kodama while studying Anglo-Saxon at the University of Buenos Aires. They would travel together and help him out with his writing. But she couldn't be schlepping off to Cambridge for weeks at a time by the late 1960s. She does travel with him, though, in her 80s.
