I think there's something about when you see, especially like the LA that he grew, that Beck is from the like sort of East side. I feel like just you walk through Echo Park, you're like that still to this day,. Even in a much more gentrified time than when, you know, he was there. He would be making Delta blues and hip hop and noise rock kind of within one song; it makes sense if you understand that experience.
