The Ethical Perspective

We put a human sort of ethical perspective at the center of our thinking and we have a very difficult time considering other ethical imperatives that don't put humans first. When you begin to invite those other ethical considerations into the equation, it does help to make sense of some of the behavior that we have heard about, read about, and experienced from these others. As awful as it may sound to us, it doesn't sound any less awful than the way we might treat an animal that we've bred for food or an animals that we have bred for domestication. It's not something that they necessarily chose.
