The superpositive cultural effect of black music on america cannot be overstated. The civil rights movement began under another name in the mid fifties, ten years really, before the civil right act. Rock and roll always included artists of color in a way that hadn't happened before. And somehow white tenagers heads didn't explode in horror. On the contrary, these artists of color were embraced by everybody.
