It takes a really long time to get all of your ducks in a row to do an excavation. If you're going to excavate something, you are irrevocably changing the site. We should be finding some archaeological sites from people doing stuff somewhere else. And if not, then you might have to realize this either the dates are wrong or maybe these are just baby slough feet that have been misidentified for some reason or another as human feet.
