Gandalf and the dwarves are chased by a group of goblins. Gandalf uses his magic sword to stab one goblin in the head, killing him. The hobbits don't start out as heroes but become heroic because they're regular people who regret leaving their home. "It's absolutely normal to think, to regret your decision," she says.
