Are We Starting to See the Beginnings of Battery Cage Chickens?
Inventor James Dryden was convinced he could wring more than five dozen eggs out of a chicken. Chickens start to be fed vitamin D, they started to be fed antibiotics slightly later on and things like UV light were introduced. Sadly, people realise if you wanted to get chickens to lay all year round, don't leave them in natural conditions,. You have to put them in unnatural conditions.
